For the first time, Russia is undergoing a full-fledged economic cycle, and now the economy is coming out of overheating, which is why there are no spikes in inflation and unemployment. This was announced on September 25 by the Chairman of the Central Bank of Russia, Elvira Nabiullina, at the XXII International Banking Forum.

"Now the process of getting out of overheating is not abrupt, it is gradual. That is why we see neither an increase in unemployment nor a rapid slowdown in steady inflation," RIA Novosti quoted her as saying.

According to the chairman of the Central Bank, Russia is going through a full-fledged economic cycle for the first time in comparison with previous periods when external shocks occurred and the economy came to a sudden standstill.

Nabiullina noted that now the process of overcoming overheating is gradual.

On September 18, Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a meeting with the leaders of parliamentary factions in the State Duma, said that the reduction in the growth rate of the Russian economy was a deliberate action to ensure its macroeconomic stability. According to the president, a recession is far away in Russia, as evidenced by the situation on the labor market.
