The League of Future Champions Tournament identified the strongest golfers of Russia and Belarus

The League of Future Champions tournament was held in the Moscow Region on September 24. A historic event for Russian children's golf was a duel against Belarusian athletes, from which the Russians emerged victorious. Medals were also awarded to the leaders of several individual competitions and a team competition between schools in the Moscow region. The first place belongs to the national team from Dmitrov.

"We started to train better, and in general, we all became friends. We started communicating well and became a good cohesive team," said Boris Dedenevskaya Secondary School team player.

It is noted that the Moscow region is rightfully the flagship region of the country for Russian golf. Local athletes are also included in the lists of the best players in the world.

"The Moscow Region team has been ranked first in the Russian Federation for three years in a row. When you start specifically practicing golf with the guys and make golf accessible, of course, the crowd increases and the skill increases," said Valery Gavrilov, President of the Moscow Regional Golf Federation.

In the near future, the federation plans to create a municipal academy to make golf classes free, as well as open at least one hundred sections throughout the region.

In June, Alexey Dyumin, Assistant to the President of Russia and Secretary of the State Council, held a meeting of the working group on the preparation of the autumn Sports Council under the President of the Russian Federation. According to him, the state and society should create all the necessary conditions to ensure the accessibility of sports for children and to improve physical fitness among young people.
