Irritation with the policy of President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky is accumulating among Ukrainian MPs. This was stated by political analyst Alexander Semchenko in an interview with Izvestia.
According to the expert, the incomes of parliamentarians have fallen, their influence has decreased, and there are fewer opportunities for enrichment. It is often difficult to resolve even everyday issues, including freeing a relative from mobilization.
"Parliamentarians have serious tools in their hands. You can not vote for the extension of martial law, you can even remove Zelensky through impeachment proceedings or for health reasons. That's all in theory. In reality, it's every man for himself. The parliament is divided, everyone suspects each other. Therefore, I think that they will continue to give anonymous comments, but the matter will not go beyond that," Semchenko notes.
Earlier, Politico reported that dissatisfaction with Zelensky is growing in the Servant of the People faction. The interlocutors noted that during a recent meeting, the Ukrainian president accused members of parliament, civil society activists and journalists of failing to "create a consistently flattering image of Ukraine in the eyes of Western partners."
It is noted that the tension in Zelensky's relations with the rada arose in July of this year. Then the Office of the Ukrainian president insisted on the adoption of a law on the reassignment of the anti-corruption authorities of NABU and SAP. However, after the protests broke out, they decided to cancel the reform. The head of state said that he was aloof from this story, and called some deputies the culprits.
