Poland has decided to open the border with Belarus, the document will be signed today. This was announced on September 23 by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
"Together with the Minister of Internal Affairs and the administration, we have decided to reopen the checkpoints with Belarus. He will sign the decision today," Tusk said.
Poland closed the border crossings operating on the borders with Belarus on September 12. The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic, Marcin Kervinsky, explained that the adoption of this decision was conditioned by the Russian-Belarusian strategic exercises Zapad-2025.
The Politico newspaper noted on September 18 that Poland's decision to close the border with Belarus would deal a serious blow to the EU's trade with China, and could also damage Polish companies.
