- More than 200 infrastructure facilities in Crimea have been adapted for the disabled
In Crimea, 224 infrastructure facilities have been adapted for people with limited mobility. This was the result of the "Affordable Environment" program, which has been implemented in the republic for 10 years.
Among such facilities are educational institutions, healthcare and social protection, writes IA SevastopolMedia with reference to the head of Crimea Sergey Aksenov.
Experts pay special attention to accessibility of cultural attractions. 15 such venues have been adapted for visitors with disabilities, including the Livadia and Alupka Palaces, the Central Museum of Taurida, the Crimean Ethnographic Museum, libraries and theaters.
In addition, 19 large bus stations and terminals in Simferopol, Feodosia, Yevpatoria and Kerch were equipped for the convenience of all passengers. Most buses and trolleybuses have ramps.
Taking into account the needs of low-mobility vacationers, 78 Crimean beaches are equipped, in Yevpatoria and Yalta there are the most of them. Inclusive excursions are regularly organized for children with disabilities. Since October 2024, 39 such trips have taken place, and 15 more will be conducted by the end of 2025.
Earlier it was reported that State Duma deputies sent an appeal to the government on the organization of children's recreation. The lower house of parliament called country camps inaccessible to most children and demanded that measures be taken to remedy this situation.
