Scientists from more than 15 countries will work at the unique Russian research nuclear reactor MBIR. This was announced on September 23 on the website of the state corporation Rosatom.

"The members of the advisory board of the consortium of the International Center for Research at the MBIR discussed areas of joint research. It was announced that scientists from more than 15 countries will work at the unique Russian scientific reactor," the statement said.

The press service added that negotiations with partners from Asia and Belarus on joining the international consortium MBIR are at the final stage.

"The work performed at the MBIR reactor will form the basis for the design of high—performance and reliable fourth-generation reactor installations," said Vasily Konstantinov, General Director of MCI MBIR Consortium Leader LLC.

Earlier, on September 15, Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev noted Russia's willingness to share advanced technologies with partners. According to him, the Russian Federation is becoming a key partner for hundreds of states that consider nuclear energy as an alternative development path.
