A student died in China after three weeks of night shifts

The death of a Hubei Vocational College student in China who works night shifts has become a topic of discussion after his family said stress and high physical activity played a role. The incident occurred on September 13, when a student who was doing an internship at a logistics company died of a heart attack after a night shift. This was announced on September 22 by the Sohu media portal.

As specified, the family stated that during the preliminary medical examinations before hiring, "the child was healthy and had no concomitant diseases." In addition, relatives believe that this may be due to the fact that Xiaoxiang (the pseudonym of the deceased) worked the night shift for three weeks in a row at high temperatures.

In addition, in the course of his work, the student felt a strong overstrain and turned to the organization for help. However, according to the family, he was refused admission. According to an employee from the Xishan Street Integrated Management Center in Ezhou, the investigation has not yet yielded clear results, and it is impossible to determine for sure whether long night shifts contributed to the student's death.

The incident became a reason to check the working conditions. In particular, it turns out which of the employees informed the student about the need to start work earlier than the set date and whether his working hours were correctly fixed. Police officers are also investigating who notified the student of the need to work on July 2, although, according to the agreement, his employment practice was supposed to begin on September 30.

The company, in turn, noted that currently more than 20 students are interning at this branch. Due to the tragedy that happened to Xiaoxiang, the company is ready to provide humanitarian compensation and necessary support to the family.
