An evening in memory of poet Nikolai Dobronravov, which was organized by the cultural foundation of his wife, composer Alexandra Pakhmutova, who was in a creative duo with the writer, took place on September 22 in the Cathedral Hall of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow.

The program entitled "We will remain in the songs ..." included works created by Dobronravov and Pakhmutova, which were performed by the winners of Russian and international awards and music competitions. The event was hosted by People's Artist of Russia Alexander Oleshko.

"Without Pakhmutova and Dobronravov, it is impossible to imagine not only the life of pop music or cinematography. It is impossible to imagine the life of our country at all. <...> For me, participating in such a concert is a great honor, a joy, and an excitement," he told Izvestia.

Oleshko also stressed that the results of the duo's activities illustrated and highlighted the most important milestones and events of the era. He added that Dobronravov, who left many amazing lines to his descendants, continues to live both in songs and in poems.

"The songs of Pakhmutova and Dobronravova are the cultural heritage of our country. <...> They wrote about the main ones, about our heroes. And as Alexandra Nikolaevna recently said, there is something to write about in our great Russia, because there are and continue to be heroes in it," Evgeny Malyshko, director of the Alexandra Pakhmutova Cultural Foundation, told Izvestia.

The evening ended with a collective performance of the song "Hope", co-written by Pakhmutova and Dobronravov in 1971.

On December 12, 2024, Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded Pakhmutova the Hero of Labor of Russia medal, calling her songs native and unifying. According to the Russian leader, the composer's works are the melody of our country and our people.

On November 9, 2024, Russian pop singer Albert Asadullin announced that Pakhmutova and Dobronravov made their work "for people," and also added that at all their concerts he strives to perform their compositions filled with kindness, sincerity and cordiality.
