A man tried to blind the helicopter pilot of US President Donald Trump with a laser pointer. This was reported on September 22 by the NBS News channel.

"Due to the lack of light on the sidewalk, Officer Santiago flashed a flashlight on [the suspect] for further observation. The suspect then pointed and shone a red laser beam at Officer Santiago's face, apparently in retaliation. A red laser beam hit Officer Santiago in the eyes and briefly disoriented him," the criminal complaint says.
