The expert reported on the increase in financial transparency after the introduction of the digital ruble

The full implementation of the digital ruble will help reduce fraud and increase the transparency of financial transactions. This was stated on September 23 by Evgeny Masharov, a member of the Russian Civic Chamber commission for the public examination of draft laws and other regulations.

"Technically, it will be much more difficult for fraudsters to force citizens to withdraw funds from an account in digital rubles. <...> This (digital ruble — Ed.) decriminalization of the economy, including countering "gray" salaries and large amounts of cash, which, given the importance of preserving each ruble, is of state significance," — he told RIA Novosti in an interview.

Masharov also noted that the digital ruble is based on blockchain technology, which will ensure transparency of all payments, especially when forming the federal budget. He added that this system will make it possible to quickly identify cases of misuse of funds, and this transparency is one of the main advantages of the new tool.
