The United States Department of Health will inform you that taking paracetamol during pregnancy increases the risk of developing autism in a child. This was announced on September 22 by US President Donald Trump.

"Now the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will officially warn doctors about the possible dangers of using acetaminophen (known in the United States under the trade name Tylenol — Ed.) during pregnancy," he told reporters during a press conference.

In addition, Trump urged all pregnant women not to take paracetamol except "if they are already on the verge of death," and also not to give it to children.

On September 21, at the farewell ceremony for American political activist Charlie Kirk, the US president promised to name the cause of autism. He stressed that his administration has found an answer to the question of why there are more and more children with autism in the United States and how the situation can be improved.
