At the event, she spoke about teapots with cups that are highly accurate and functional. Zakharova also paid special attention to the hieroglyph "double joy", which adorns one of the exhibits, symbolizing happiness and well-being.

She noted the importance of studying this genre both from the point of view of getting to know China, and from the point of view of understanding the historical ties between the countries and their mutual enrichment.

"It's a cautionary tale now, when they try to cancel us, when they try to tell Russia or China that your cultures don't fit into the big picture of the world, you have to change something. Remember that many genres of Western art were influenced by the art of our country and Russia, and in particular China," Zakharova said.

The Zakharov family's collection, which includes a representative collection of teapots reflecting a rich variety of shapes and meanings, will be presented separately at the exhibition.

Zakharova stressed that collecting began with the purchase of several teapots by her parents in the 1980s, when they were on a business trip to China. According to her, the first articles about Chinese ceramics in our country were written by her mother Irina Zakharova.
