On Monday, September 22, the President of the UN General Assembly, Annalena Berbok, had to ask delegates to take their seats four times before the start of the High-level Plenary meeting dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations.

During the broadcast of the meeting, Burbock addressed the participants several times, called for silence and explained where they should take their seats, including reminding them of the location of the blue chairs on the left side of the hall.

After all the delegations had settled in, the Chairman of the General Assembly invited the artists to take their places on the stage.

Earlier, on September 9, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Berbok would become an anti-symbol of the 80th UN General Assembly. Statements justifying or glorifying Nazism will not remain without reaction from the Russian Foreign Ministry and law enforcement agencies, Zakharova added.

On September 16, Zakharova compared Berbok's tenure as president of the UN General Assembly in the year of the 80th anniversary of the Victory to a devilish grin. She also said that for Burbock, the post of president of the General Assembly is "another podium, another microphone" through which she can irresponsibly express her ideological preferences.
