Russian President Vladimir Putin holds an operational meeting with permanent members of the Russian Security Council on September 22. Izvestia is broadcasting the event.

As previously reported by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, the president will make an important statement during the meeting.

In August, Putin discussed regional security with members of the Security Council. Alexander Bortnikov, Head of the Federal Security Service (FSB), and Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, made presentations at the time.
