Russian wrestlers have won 11 medals at the World Championships, including one gold, four silver and six bronze. This became known on September 21.

Silver was won by freestyle wrestlers Amanul Gadzhimagomedov (in the weight category up to 92 kg), Ekaterina Vorobyeva (up to 55 kg), Alina Kasabieva (up to 65 kg). Greco-Roman wrestling athlete Artur Sargsyan also won silver.

In the category up to 87 kg, Russian Abdurakhman Abdulkadyrov won the silver medal, losing in the final to Georgian Luka Kochalidze.
