German Air Force planes were lifted into the sky due to a Russian Il-20M fighter jet over the Baltic Sea. This was reported on September 21 by the DPA news agency, citing a representative of the German Air Force.

It is specified that two German Eurofighter fighter jets took off from an air base in Lag in the north of Germany.

According to the German Air Force, the Russian IL-20M was allegedly in international space, without having a flight plan and without contacting.

Earlier, on July 19, Poland took fighter jets into the air due to the alleged activity of Russian aviation. Four hours later, the Polish side informed about the cessation of military aviation flights in the country's airspace amid a decrease in the threat level.
