Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has been re-elected as the head of the Civil Contract political party. The preliminary results of the voting on Saturday, September 20, are reported by the "Armenpress" agency.

"According to preliminary electronic calculations, Nikol Pashinyan was elected chairman of the council, gaining 758 votes," the publication says.

The results of the voting may be appealed within 24 hours. If there are no complaints, the results will be considered final.

The voting took place within the framework of the 7th Congress of the Civil Contract.

On September 20, Pashinyan stressed the importance of trusting relations with Russian partners, appreciating the dialogue with Russian President Vladimir Putin. He added that relations with Russia based on trust play an important role in solving many problems that may arise. According to Pashinyan, the transformation of relations between Russia and Armenia is bringing positive results.
