The contribution of American political activist Charlie Kirk to the development of Christianity was enormous, Kirill Dmitriev, special representative of the President of the Russian Federation, CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), said on his page on the social network X. On Saturday, September 20, he held talks with the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) regarding recognition of the merits of the murdered activist.

"We had very positive talks with the Russian Orthodox Church about recognizing Charlie Kirk's spiritual contribution to the development of Christianity. We expect that the Church will soon publish an article about his promotion for the benefit of Christianity," the publication says.

Dmitriev also stressed that his legacy to the Christian world is enormous.

Political activist Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated during his speech at the University of Utah, died on September 10. He played a key role in the victory of American President Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election. The White House was closely monitoring this situation — the "situation room" was involved in the process.

On September 16, suspect Tyler Robinson was formally charged with capital murder and intentionally or knowingly causing Kirk's death in circumstances that pose a significant risk of death to others. He appeared in court for the first time via video link on September 17. During the entire hearing, he spoke only once, when the judge asked him to introduce himself.
