- Snipers of the 51st Guards Army told about the peculiarities of combat work in the area of their
On September 20, snipers from the 110th Brigade of the 51st Guards Combined Arms Army told Izvestia about their training and combat work in a special military operation.
"The commander of the sniper platoon has arrived to select new fighters for himself. He took a fancy to us, took us for himself. Since that moment, we have been in the sniper platoon of the 110th Motorized Rifle Brigade," said a soldier with the call sign "Manul".
According to him, snipers regularly undergo training at the training ground to maintain shooting practice. Thus, the Manul was trained in day and night shooting, including using thermal imagers. The fighter noted that he had learned to shoot with a Kalashnikov assault rifle and a Dragunov sniper rifle (SVD).
The commander of the sniper squad with the call sign "Bodya" noted that snipers, working in unfamiliar terrain in combat conditions, develop a "map" in their head that allows them to navigate in space. According to him, shooters often have to move into position "by touch." In addition, as the soldier with the call sign "Silent" noted, snipers often have to shoot down drones when going on a combat mission.
Soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces, in an interview with Izvestia on September 16, told about combat work in the area of the Kremen and Serebryansky forests in the Lugansk People's Republic (LNR). According to a soldier with the call sign Grafin, the Russian fighters are making good progress, finding and occupying new positions in the forest. Military groups of troops "Zapad" are scaring the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in this sector of the front with a fiber-optic attack drone.
All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
