Four U.S. Army soldiers were killed when an MH-60 Black Hawk helicopter crashed near Joint Base Lewis-McCord in Washington State. The incident occurred during a routine training mission west of the base. This was reported by the Associated Press on September 19.

The soldiers were part of the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, which performs night missions. The cause of the crash is under investigation, and the names of the victims will be released later.

"Our hearts are with the families, friends and teammates," said Lieutenant General Jonathan Braga, commander of the USASOC.

According to him, the dead were soldiers who embodied the highest values of the army and army special operations.

The agency clarified that the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment organizes and conducts aviation missions around the world, providing support to army special units.

Earlier, on September 14, it was reported that two pilots died while performing stunts on an airplane in Argentina. The cause of the incident has not been established. It was noted that the aircraft lost lift, as a result of which it fell onto the runway. On impact, it caught fire.
