Estonia has declared a violation of the country's airspace by Russian fighter jets.
Estonia has accused Russia of the fact that three MiG-31 fighter jets allegedly invaded the country's airspace. This was announced on September 19 by the Estonian Foreign Ministry.
It is noted that the aircraft did not have a flight plan, the transponders were turned off, and there was no communication with the Estonian air traffic Service. According to their data, the fighters were in the air for a total of 12 minutes.
"Russia has already violated Estonia's air border four times this year, which is unacceptable in itself, but today's violation, during which three fighter jets entered our airspace, is unprecedented," said Foreign Minister Markus Tsahkna.
In turn, the head of EU diplomacy, Kaya Kallas, said that she was in contact with Estonia amid information about an alleged incident in its airspace.
