Trump's helicopter in the UK made an emergency landing due to a malfunction
The Marine One helicopter carrying US President Donald Trump and his wife Melania made an emergency landing on its way to the British Stansted Airport. This was reported on September 19 by the Daily Mail newspaper.
It is noted that the incident occurred when the American leader was flying from the country residence of British Prime Minister Cyrus Starmer Chequers, 60 km from London. There were technical problems on board the car.
"Due to a minor hydraulic problem, the helicopter with the US president on board landed at the local Luton airfield on its way to Stansted Airport. The decision was made for precautionary reasons," White House spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt said.
After arriving at Stansted Airport, the Trump couple safely boarded Air Force One, which went to Washington. Other circumstances of the emergency are not reported.
Earlier, on September 17, Bloomberg reported that Trump's Boeing 757 plane was spotted in the air a few miles from the civil Airbus SE A321 airliner operated by Spirit Airlines, flying in the sky over Long Island. It is claimed that an air traffic controller from New York noticed similar heights and flight path of the presidential Air Force One with a civilian aircraft.
