The Russian Army broke through the defenses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and entered Yampol in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was announced on September 19 by military expert Andrei Marochko.

"As a result of the breakthrough of the enemy's defenses and the destruction of fortifications, our advanced detachments, having made a breakthrough, immediately entered the village of Yampol in the DPR. Now Russian fighters are gaining a foothold on Partizanskaya and Michurina streets," TASS quoted him as saying.
