More than half (54%) of Russians are ready to quit their main job if they have the opportunity to earn 100-200 thousand rubles a month from alternative sources of income. This became known on September 19, according to a study by analysts Ecole and Salary.<url>, which I have reviewed "Газета.Ru ".
"Every sixth named the amount in the range of 100 thousand rubles, almost a quarter (23%) — 200-300 thousand rubles, and only 6% need more than 300 thousand rubles per month for this," the publication says.
The study revealed that the vast majority of respondents (95%) would like to learn a new profession for themselves. The most desirable areas for part-time work were the beauty industry (18%), information technology and the sphere of art and culture (17%), as well as, in equal parts, the sphere of delivery and sales (14%).
The survey revealed that over half of the citizens (55%) regularly earn extra money. It was clarified that one in ten (10%) works only on weekends, 60% of the respondents work part–time for several days when they have free time, and every fifth (22%) works daily.
The most popular areas of additional income were tutoring (17%), trade (10%) and beauty industry (9%), as well as courier (7%) and taxi driver (6%).
"The majority of Russians (70%) receive additional income in the amount of no more than 20 thousand rubles per month due to such side jobs, one in seven earns 20-30 thousand rubles, 6% — in the range of 30-40 thousand, and another 10% earn over 40 thousand rubles," the publication cited the data.
Earlier, on September 17, sociologist Svetlana Mareeva named the sources of income for families receiving more than 500 thousand rubles per month. According to the expert, high wages are not the only way for wealthy Russians to replenish their family budget.
