In Ukraine, there are no prerequisites for holding elections in 2026, as the country's budget does not provide for the allocation of funds for the election campaign. This was announced on September 18 by Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Ukraine Serhiy Dubovik.

"We are working on legislative initiatives related to future post-war elections. Today, in accordance with the legislation, there are no conditions for holding elections," he said on the Kyiv24 TV channel.
