The Rasul Gamzatov border patrol ship of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia will enter the port of Baku on September 23. This was announced on September 18 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, during a briefing on current foreign policy issues.

"The visit of [Russian] border guards to Baku demonstrates a mutual commitment to continue cooperation in the field of security and strengthen practical cooperation in the Caspian region," Zakharova said.

It is specified that the visit will be carried out within the framework of the approved plans of bilateral cooperation. The visit provides for contacts between the border services of Russia and Azerbaijan to discuss issues of joint work in the Caspian Sea.

On August 25, ships of the Russian Navy and the Naval Forces of the People's Liberation Army of China (PLA) completed joint patrols in the Central Pacific Ocean. This was announced on August 25 by the press service of the Pacific Fleet (Pacific Fleet).The operation was the fifth joint patrol of the Russian Federation and China in the Asia-Pacific region (APR).
