Siluanov announced that the Russian budget would ensure all obligations
The budget of the Russian Federation will ensure all obligations to citizens and recipients of budget funds, regardless of external circumstances. This was announced on September 18 by Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov at the plenary session of the X Moscow Financial Forum (IFF).
"And when we talked about budget parameters, about what principles should be the basis of policy in the next three years, we proceeded from this, namely, to ensure that the restrictions and sanctions that we are facing, the trade wars that we see are underway, and various price situations. They were absolutely not noticeable to our people in foreign markets," Siluanov said.
The Russian Finance Minister added that the budget should provide all this, no matter what difficulties our country faces. According to him, Russia has been living in such a situation for more than one year and the budget is coping with it.
Earlier, on September 9, Siluanov called on the Central Bank (CB) to lower the key rate and economic rates. According to the Finance Minister, the current high rates are partly the result of increased budget momentum in previous years. He stressed that in the future it is important to avoid a repeat of this situation and keep the budget balanced.
