The capacity of Krasnodar's open airport has become known

At the first stage of the resumption of flights, Krasnodar Airport can handle up to 50 flights per day, which will carry more than half a million passengers by the end of the year. This was announced on September 17 by the press service of the air harbor on its website.

"At the first stage of the resumption of flights, the work schedule will be limited from 9:00 to 19:00 local time (coincides with Moscow time. — Ed.). However, this will allow servicing up to 50 flights per day (25 aircraft). And by the end of the year — more than half a million passengers," the message says.

The press service of the Aerodynamika holding, which includes the airport, stated in its Telegram channel that in the terminals and on the platform, passengers of the first flights were greeted with songs, dances and bread with salt, as well as apples and lollipops with airport symbols. In addition to the boarding pass, all passengers at the check-in desks were given commemorative postcards.

To date, the airport has served 484 passengers, the holding concluded.

From Krasnodar, it will be possible to fly to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, as well as to Istanbul and Dubai.

The agency recalled that it had not operated flights since the end of February 2022 for security reasons. Later, Aeroflot launched ticket sales for flights to Krasnodar from Moscow and other regions of Russia.

On September 17, the first plane landed ahead of schedule at Krasnodar Airport after the airspace was opened and flights resumed. An Airbus A321 plane arriving from Moscow passed through a water arch in the parking lot of Krasnodar Airport. After landing, a ramp was brought on board, and the crew began disembarking passengers. Later, Azimut Airlines began operating a flight from Krasnodar Airport to Istanbul, the first international flight from Krasnodar Catherine II the Great Airport after flights resumed.
