In Vladivostok, a partial ceiling collapse occurred at school No. 46, as a result of which a 12-year-old student was injured, and a criminal case on negligence was opened in connection with the incident. This was announced on September 17 by the press service of the Primorsky Krai Prosecutor's Office.

"It has been established that the plaster layer of the ceiling collapsed in the first floor of school No. 46 in Vladivostok. As a result, a 12-year—old girl was injured and hospitalized in a medical facility," the department's Telegram channel says.

The Prosecutor's office of the Frunzensky district of Vladivostok sent the inspection materials to the investigative body to resolve the issue of criminal prosecution. According to the results of their review, a criminal case was initiated under Part 1 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Negligence").

The investigation of the criminal case has been taken under control, according to the press service of the prosecutor's office.

On August 8, it was reported that a ceiling collapsed in an apartment building on Nevsky Prospekt in St. Petersburg during renovation work. As a result of the incident, two workers inside the building were injured, one of them died.
