Singer VASSY will represent the USA at Intervision instead of Brandon Howard

Singer and producer Vassy (real name is Vasilika Karagiorgos) will become the U.S. representative at the International Music Competition "Intervision" instead of the previously announced performer Brandon Howard. This was announced on September 17 in the press service of the project.

"Instead of Brandon Howard, the United States will be represented by singer and producer Vassy," TASS quoted the statement as saying.

Howard was supposed to perform under the fifth consecutive number. However, the organizers announced that the singer would not be able to participate. He himself stated in a video message that he had canceled his visit to Russia "due to unforeseen family circumstances." Howard's serial number is reserved for Vassy.

The next competition may be held abroad.

In New York, on September 15, promo videos for the upcoming "Intervision" began to be broadcast on two huge screens located on Broadway, next to Times Square. The final of the competition will be held in Moscow on September 20 at the Live Arena. Honored Artist of the Russian Federation SHAMAN (real name Yaroslav Dronov) will perform from the Russian Federation with the musical composition "Straight to the Heart" by Maxim Fadeev. Alexander Ovechkin, a Russian hockey player and captain of the Washington Capitals NHL club, has been announced as the cultural ambassador of Intervision 2025.

The hosts of the Intervision finale will be performer Alexey Vorobyov and Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Aida Garifullina. Yana Churikova, a journalist and TV presenter, and Yuri Aksyuta, the chief producer of Channel One's music and entertainment programs, will comment on the event behind the scenes for Russian viewers.
