One of the largest asteroids in 2025 will fly near the Earth on September 18.

Asteroid 2025 FA22, one of the largest this year, will fly close to Earth on September 18 at a distance approximately equal to one diameter of the lunar orbit. This was announced on September 17 by the press service of the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy at the Institute of Space Research (IKI) of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

"One of the largest asteroids of the year, 2025 FA22, will pass tomorrow, September 18, at a distance slightly larger than the diameter of the lunar orbit from Earth, approaching the planet at a minimum distance of about 10:00 Moscow time," the Telegram channel said.
