- More than 500 excursions will be held as part of the Moscow Stories campaign in September.
A cultural and educational campaign "Moscow Stories" will be held in the capital from September 27 to 29. More than 150 city venues will join it, said Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina.
Among the venues that will take part in the action are the Tsaritsyno Museum—Reserve, the GES-2 House of Culture, the Moscow Musical Theater Helikon Opera, the Ostankino Television Tower, and the M.I. Rudomino Library of Foreign Literature.
"The campaign is timed to coincide with World Tourism Day, which is celebrated on September 27. More than 500 excursions dedicated to history, architecture, gastronomy, art, technology and other topics have been prepared for residents and guests of the capital," said Sergunina.
Those who wish will be able to go on a culinary journey, explore the process of creating the transport framework of the city, and meet with the inhabitants of the Moscow Zoo. The Cosmonautics and Aviation Center at VDNKH will tell about the history of the space industry, from the launch of the first satellite to the creation of the International Space Station.
In addition, walking tours around the city have been prepared for Muscovites and tourists. Guided tours will take place along Tverskaya Street, where participants will be shown the chambers of the 17th century, and along Prechistenka Street. The route "Moscow in the lens" will pass through the places where scenes from popular films were filmed.
Gorky's Film Studio will tell about the creation of films and show authentic costumes from such paintings as "Hero of Our Time" and "Morozko".
The program will be supplemented with interactive formats, for example, quests.
Registration with the Russpass travel service is required to participate in the excursions. You can do this until September 19th.
