The stage of practical actions of the troops of the Leningrad Military District within the framework of the joint strategic exercise Zapad-2025 has been completed at the Kirillovsky training ground in the Leningrad Region. This was announced on September 16 by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

According to the plan of the exercises, after firing multiple launch rocket systems "Grad" and the heavy flamethrower system TOS-1A "Solntsepek", assault groups on motorized vehicles wedged into the enemy's defenses. A special feature of the exercises was the massive use of unmanned systems for various purposes.

"The Zala, Superkam, Orlan reconnaissance UAVs in a single system with Mavic and Matrice copter-type drones provided the command post with real-time intelligence, adjusted artillery and tank fire. Ground—based and air-based robotic electronic warfare systems disrupted the "enemy's" control system, the ministry said.
