The director and chief engineer of the Elbrus cable car were arrested for two months

The chief engineer and director of the chairlift (LLC "MKD Elbrus") on Elbrus was arrested for two months in a criminal case on the deaths of three people due to an accident. This was reported on September 16 in the press service of the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic.

In a criminal case under Part 3 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet the requirements of consumer safety and health, resulting in the death of two or more people by negligence"), two people were detained — the director and chief engineer of MCD Elbrus LLC.

"The court considered the arguments for choosing a preventive measure to be justified and granted the investigator's request, choosing a preventive measure for the suspect for a period of two months," the Telegram channel says.

The Elbrus cable car accident occurred on September 12. As a result of the incident, nine people were injured. At first, two deaths were reported, and later the body of a third was discovered. On the same day, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Kabardino-Balkaria opened a criminal case.
