- Trump chastised a journalist from Australia and promised to complain to the country's leader.
US President Donald Trump expressed dissatisfaction with the question of a journalist from Australia during a press conference before leaving for the UK. The recording of Trump's conversation with journalists was published on September 16 on the C-Span portal.
A journalist from the ABC Australia broadcasting organization asked a question about the president's business activities. Trump replied that he was not in business, but his children. After that, he asked where the journalist came from.
"In my opinion, you are doing a lot of harm to Australia. And they want to establish relations with me, you know, your leader will come to me soon. I'll tell them about you — you're setting a very bad tone," Trump said.
Earlier, on September 15, the American leader announced that his trip to the UK would be incredible. This will be Trump's first visit since his second inauguration. The trip is connected with the intention of the American leader to meet informally with King Charles III of Great Britain.
On July 14, it became known that Charles III had scheduled a state visit by Trump from September 17 to 19 during the holidays in the British Parliament.
