Lukashenko pardons 25 prisoners
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has granted amnesty to 25 prisoners, including those convicted of extremism. This was reported by the Belarusian BelTA news agency on September 16, citing a source from the presidential press service.
"Among those pardoned are 12 women and 13 men; 19 people under the age of 40. Many of them have children, and one convict is a mother with many children. One of those pardoned committed a crime at a minor age," the message says.
