More than 200 applications from all over Russia have been received for the position of head of the Kazan Youth Committee.

The acceptance of applications for the competitive selection for the position of Chairman of the Committee on Children and Youth Affairs of the Executive Committee of Kazan is coming to an end in Kazan. The questionnaires were accepted from November 5 to November 12, during which time 207 applications were received from applicants from all over Russia who wanted to lead the direction.

The majority of applications (74%) were from Kazan, another 11% from residents of the Republic of Tatarstan. At the same time, 15% of the questionnaires came from other regions of Russia.: Moscow and the Moscow region, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Penza, Samara, Omsk, Novosibirsk, Nizhnevartovsk, Magnitogorsk, Yekaterinburg, Perm, Ufa and even Vladivostok.

The majority of applicants (2/3) were men. The average age of applicants is 35 years, and the youngest participant is 20 years old, and the oldest is 63 years old. Among the candidates for the post of head of the youth direction are representatives of Russian Railways, Russian Helicopters, Sibur, Gazprom, the banking sector, the construction sector, as well as private business.

According to Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, youth policy is of great importance for the city.

"Kazan has really become a magnet city. Young people come to us not only from all over Tatarstan, but also from other Russian regions to get an education, and then connect with the city for the rest of their lives. Young families are formed, children are born, for whom Kazan becomes their hometown. We are working to meet the needs of young people, create conditions for their professional self-realization, interesting leisure time and a happy life. The new head of the Committee for Children and Youth Affairs will also have to solve these difficult but very interesting tasks as part of the Kazan team," the mayor emphasized.

Upon completion of the application process, a personnel assessment of the candidates' potential will take place, meetings and interviews will take place. At the end of the competition, the participants present their strategy to the expert council, which will select the best candidate.

The tasks of the head of the committee will include interaction with public organizations and movements, the student community. One of the main areas of activity is the patriotic education of youth and the development of the volunteer movement.

Prior to this, the Kazan City Hall announced open competitions for the position of chief architect, heads of the Department of Physical Education and Sports, the Department of Culture and the Registry Office. This time, the number of applications received from applicants has become a record.
