Serbia has taken into account the statement of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) on the preparation by the European Union (EU) of mass protests to destabilize the situation in the country. This was announced on September 16 by Serbian Ambassador to Russia Momcilo Babic.

"Serbia is very closely monitoring the messages and information coming from the Russian special services. I know that these are the best intelligence agencies in the world, and it would be very frivolous to ignore them," he said in an interview with TASS.

At the same time, according to the ambassador, Serbia also has allies in European countries, such as Slovakia, Hungary, Cyprus, Malta, which the republic's authorities will not be able to blame. However, Babic agreed that there are also countries in the EU that are "openly working" against Serbia.
