Politico reported on the mass confiscation of containers with Chinese goods in Greece

More than 2,000 cargo containers with goods from China were confiscated in the Greek port of Piraeus. This was reported by the Politico newspaper on September 15, citing the prosecutor's office.

"The European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO) has seized 2,435 shipping containers in the port of Piraeus, the largest in Greece, which is majority owned by the Chinese state-owned company COSCO. The containers were filled mainly with electric bicycles, textiles and shoes," the publication says.

It is specified that the incident was the largest case of seizure of cargo containers in the European Union (EU).
