Mirror reported on the arrest of a chef who robbed three banks in the USA
San Francisco police have arrested the former chef of famous restaurants, 62-year-old Valentino Luchin, on suspicion of robbing three banks in one day, the Mirror newspaper reported on September 15.
According to law enforcement officials, a man who has worked in the California food industry for decades has attacked three financial institutions in the central area of the city.
Luchina entered bank branches and handed notes to the cashiers demanding to give him the available cash. Those, fearing for their own lives, handed him the money. The robber was placed in the county jail, charged with robbery and attempted robbery, adds "Газета.Ru ".
This is not the first time that Luchin's name has appeared in the criminal chronicle. In 2018, a man was arrested after robbing a Citibank branch in Orinda, California, where he allegedly took out $18,000 in cash, threatening the cashier with an air pistol. He later admitted that he had used a fake weapon and wrote a letter of apology to the cashier.
In February, four intruders entered the premises of Deutsche Bank in the city of Lubeck and stole €10 million, robbing 326 cells. As noted by the Bild newspaper, the criminals easily entered the vault with empty suitcases and backpacks. After waiting for the bank to close, they filled their bags with money and securities without hindrance, and fled the backyard in several cars. The alarm went off only when the criminals left the building. After the robbery, the bank increased its security measures.
