Acceptance of applications for the "All Colors of Jazz" award has started

On September 15, applications for the XI annual All Colors of Jazz Award, organized by Radio JAZZ, started. The award is open to anyone who studies jazz, for whom this field has become a part of life. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony at the ODEON Theater on November 19.

The creative competition will unfold in nominations covering all facets of the industry.: "Rising Star", "Event of the Year", "Festival of the Year", "Venue of the Year", "Release of the Year", "Musician of the Year", "For contribution to the development of jazz culture in Russia".

The selection of the laureates will take place in several stages. Applications will be accepted until October 20 on the website of the JAZZ 89.1 FM radio station. Listeners will help select the finalists in an open vote that will last from October 27 to November 10, and the top three will be announced on the air. After this stage, until November 14, an expert star jury will determine the best, and the winners will be announced at the Award itself, at the Odeon Theater.

"Our award is a great cultural event. The best musicians of the industry come here, and we invite them as guests, experts, and juries. Our favorite listeners will also be active participants. The monthly audience of Radio JAZZ is about 2 million people – these are true music connoisseurs, and each of them can influence the course of musical history during the voting. Why are there seven nominations? Because jazz is not only big bands and soloists, but also a live environment: venues, festivals, releases. I am sure that everyone needs recognition, because jazz is created and promoted together, it is a collective improvisation where it is important to hear each other, and where each link is invaluable," said Natalia Fokina, Program director of JAZZ 89.1 FM Radio.
