The issue of the introduction of a no-fly zone over Ukraine should be brought up for discussion. This was stated on September 14 by Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski in an interview with the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ) newspaper.

"If Ukraine asks us to shoot down drones over its territory, it will be beneficial for us. If you're asking for my personal opinion, then I think we should think about it," Sikorski said in response to a question about the introduction of a no—fly zone over Ukraine.

The diplomat said that such a possibility was discussed a year ago with European leaders, when former US President Joe Biden was in office.

Sikorski noted that Poland does not have the right to make such decisions on its own, and therefore it is necessary to wait for the response of NATO and the European Union (EU).

The Austrian newspaper Kurier reported on September 13 that the political situation in Poland had become extremely uncertain after the drone incident, which demonstrated NATO's vulnerability to security. The publication clarifies that weapons experts have long been raising the issue of creating a drone protection system along the eastern border of the North Atlantic Alliance. However, at the moment, no NATO country has implemented such a defense system.

On September 10, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk called the incident with the appearance of several drones in the skies over the republic a large-scale provocation. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on the same day that Russia regularly faces unsubstantiated accusations of provocations from Western countries.
