In Russia, from October 27 to November 1, citizens will work six days a week, and Saturday, November 1, will be shorter than usual, as this is the day before National Unity Day. This was announced on September 15 by Daria Erzina, HeadHunter's lawyer for contractual work and labor law issues.

In Russia, National Unity Day is celebrated every year on November 4. This holiday was established by a law passed on December 29, 2004, which amended the law on military Glory Days.

"The nearest period with six working days awaits Russians from October 27 to November 1. Saturday, November 1, in accordance with Article 95 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, is a shortened working day," Erzina shared in an interview with RIA Novosti.

She clarified that organizations with a continuous work cycle, emergency services and those who serve the population on a daily basis are not subject to weekend postponement. For their employees, holidays can be working days, but with mandatory increased pay.

On August 24, it became known that the Russian government decided to make the first week of November 2025 three days. It was specified that Russians will rest on November 3 and 4, then on November 8 and 9.
