A Moscow court has arrested a Russian citizen in a case of treason.

The Lefortovo District Court of Moscow has arrested a Russian citizen, R.K. Karetsky, in a case of treason. This follows from the official court documents published on September 12 on the portal of the courts of general jurisdiction of the city of Moscow.

It is specified that the court decision will enter into force on September 16, 2025. The hearing of the case was held in a closed session.

On August 29, the FSB's Public Relations Center reported that FSB officers had detained two residents of the Yaroslavl Region on suspicion of treason. It was clarified that the detainees provided information about the critical infrastructure facilities in the region to the special services of Ukraine.
