Tankers of the 44th Army Corps of the North group of forces destroyed the locations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) personnel in combat positions in the special military operation zone. This was announced on September 14 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

On their professional holiday, Tanker's Day, the crew of the T-80BVM tank of the North group of forces demonstrated well-coordinated cooperation with the operators of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the same group. During the combat mission, thanks to the work of the UAV operators, a camouflaged firing point of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was discovered.

After receiving the coordinates, the command gave the order to the tank unit, which was already ready to strike. To ensure the secrecy and disorientation of the enemy, the fire was conducted from various closed firing lines. The result of the precise fire action was the complete destruction of all identified enemy targets.

"The enemy settled in our densely populated forest, and in order to confuse and smoke him out at the same time, <...> at first they practiced on the move so that they would not understand where the work was coming from," said the tank commander with the call sign Raven.

The new equipment will reduce the time spent by the gunners in their positions.

On September 13, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the crew of a T-80BVM tank of the Aleysky motorized rifle unit of the Center group of forces had destroyed the AFU UAV control point in the Red Army area with fire from a closed position. It was clarified that, after receiving the coordinates of the enemy, the tankers took up a combat position, aimed the car and fired a series of high-explosive shells.
