Scammers have come up with a new scheme to hack an account in Gosuslugi and extort money. This was reported on September 13 by the TASS news agency with reference to the materials.

The attackers send out messages in private messages and chats of houses in Telegram, allegedly from the chairman of a housing and construction cooperative about the need to confirm their place of residence. The scammers then ask the victim to send a code that is a confirmation to log into the account in Gosuslugi.

After the account is hacked, the victim is contacted again and informed about account hacking, as well as suspicious activity of bank accounts. The scammers claim that they are trying to transfer money from the account to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). To save their savings, the victim is instructed to transfer money to a "secure account" or transfer funds to a courier.

"Messages in messengers on behalf of the board of HBC with a proposal to confirm the place of residence or other information are fraudulent. Do not share the codes with unknown people, so as not to become a victim of scams," the materials say.

Earlier, on September 11, Roskachestvo reported on a new fraudulent scheme with the sending of messages about alleged access to crypto wallets with a large balance. Instead of the usual phishing links, the attackers immediately provide usernames and passwords.
