The military commander of the railway station, Major Mikhail Demidov, heroically led the train with ammunition out from under the artillery fire of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) at one of the sites liberated from Ukrainian militants. This was announced on September 13 by the Russian Ministry of Defense in its Telegram channel.

The ministry noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces, in an effort to deprive the Russian military of supply routes, subjected the area of the railway station where the ammunition train was located to massive artillery fire. Demidov, despite the enemy's attacks, managed to quickly withdraw the train from the affected area and transfer it to sidelines.

After the shelling of the Ukrainian militants ended, the major organized a check of the railway track and sent the train to its destination. Thanks to his professional actions, the cargo was saved and delivered to the designated area.

On the same day, the Russian Defense Ministry spoke about the exploits of Russian servicemen in the area of a special military operation. The ministry noted the actions of Guard Second Lieutenant Alexei Kovrisov, who, commanding a platoon of a motorized rifle company, carried out a combat mission to capture an important area. He personally destroyed two Ukrainian machine gunners, which allowed the group to complete its task.
