The action "Peculiarities of national cleaning" was held in Vladikavkaz
On September 12, Vladikavkaz hosted the All-Russian environmental campaign "Peculiarities of national cleaning". The event was organized by the National Environmental Foundation "Compass" and is aimed at increasing people's attention to environmental issues.
Schoolchildren, public figures, military personnel, as well as athletes took part in the action. In the course of their work, they were able to clear the embankment of the Terek River from debris.
In addition, all participants of the event were able to work out sports under the guidance of the Olympic champion and learned the elements of the national dance game.
"Cleaning is like a holiday. In fact, there is such a simple Soviet approach to this, when people meet, they are united by work, when they bring order to their native land together, and after that they celebrate and unite each in their own culture," said Tatiana Kovaleva, director of the Compass Foundation.
She also added that Russia is a multinational country, so each region has its own specific colorful traditions.
The campaign "Peculiarities of national cleaning" was held in Kaliningrad on June 4. It was noted that the participants collected and disposed of garbage in the green area along Bicycling Street and the Botanical Garden, as well as planted new plants. More than 700 people took part, and a total of nine cubic meters of garbage were collected.
