The members of the Central Election Commission of Russia see the activity of voters at various levels in the elections. This was announced to Izvestia on September 12 by Nikolai Bulaev, Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission.

"We see the activity of voters. We see that election commissions are actively using the opportunities provided by the law and the resolution of the Central Election Commission," Bulayev said.

According to him, the voting is active. Quite a large number of people voted early in the Kursk and Bryansk regions. He also noted that the first day of voting ends, in his opinion, rather unexpectedly, since the voter turnout is higher than he could have expected.

In addition, Bulaev added that more than 50% of voters have already voted in remote electronic voting. About 5,000 people voted at extraterritorial polling stations in Moscow. He also noted that almost 1 million people have already voted online in elections at various levels in the Russian Federation.

In some regions of Russia, elections of governors, heads of regional parliaments and other officials began on this day, which will end with a single voting day on September 14. In total, more than 5,000 election campaigns will be conducted in 81 regions of the country. About 55 million people will be able to participate in the elections. In addition, 24 regions will host remote electronic voting, which, according to preliminary data, will cover about 20 million voters.
