Roman Alyokhin, a military blogger and ex-adviser to the governor of the Kursk region, is a "narcissistic liar" who "would sell his mother for a ruble." This opinion was expressed on September 12 by the ataman of the district Cossack society, Igor Filippovsky, in an interview with Izvestia.

This is how he commented on the publication of a video in which Alekhine discusses a money laundering scheme to help his fighters. Filippovsky noted that he was not surprised by what he saw, since Alyokhin's "sensational cases of activity" have long been known. The blogger has already been tried for selling substandard prostheses for the disabled, but then he got off with a fine.

"By the way, this is not his merit, what he says is developing this industry for the production of prosthetics. Dad did all this at the time. Then he passed it on to his son, and all this is not his merit. He just works on the base that his father made. No complaints about my father. I think according to Alekhine, he's a liar, narcissistic. I'll put it bluntly, maybe this is his problem, I think he will sell his mother for a ruble, without any problems," the chieftain said.

Filippovsky also claimed that Alekhine had insulted the Cossacks. He stressed that representatives of the Cossack society, unlike the military blogger, have been serving in the special military operation zone since 2022.

"He didn't even know that we had crossed the border in 2022 and were really fighting. And when I found out, of course, I immediately fell silent. <...> He asked us questions about where the Cossacks were and why they weren't fighting. Why didn't you go?" said the chieftain.

Alyokhin told Izvestia the day before that he had received a summons, but had not been mobilized into the ranks of the special operation, justifying that "he was being chased with certificates."

"Go ahead. Show me you're a healthy guy. By the way, he seems to be disabled everywhere. An ordinary jock who only loves his body and money. But nevertheless he wants to show what a patriot he is. What's inside you will come out anyway, all the negativity. And he showed it," Filippovsky added.

Olivia Livingston, a lawyer and head of the Law and Sport Research center, told Izvestia on September 11 that Alyokhin, a military blogger, could face a criminal case under articles on large-scale fraud and money laundering.

A day earlier, it was reported that in 2014, Alekhine was tried for selling substandard prosthetics for the disabled. It was clarified that for a small amount he purchased old prosthetics from the families of deceased disabled people or those who needed money. However, he was only fined in court.

An investigation is underway against Alekhine on suspicion of fraud related to assistance to military personnel. He is suspected of money laundering and tax evasion under the guise of helping participants in a special operation. Izvestia has footage of the military blogger talking about a way to launder millions of rubles through his charitable foundation. As part of the criminal scheme, the company transfers 200 million rubles to the fund for allegedly helping the front. After that, Alekhine purchases medicines worth 150 million from a company affiliated with the company for its participants, and keeps the remaining funds for himself as a "commission."
